The 3x3 blocks were cut by my mom from scrap fabric and old clothing back in the late 70s and 80s. The lighter brown color is from an old shirt of my dad's. The plaid was leftovers from a shirt I made in high school. Not sure what the blue and dark brown are from, although the dark brown certainly could be from another of dad's shirts.
